«…пир – это лучший образ счастья». Образы трапезы в философии, богословии, культуре»

Уважаемые коллеги,
Библейско-Богословский Институт св. апостола Андрея приглашает вас принять участие в третьем ежегодном симпозиуме памяти Н.Л.Трауберг «Образы трапезы в философии, богословии, культуре».
Тема нынешнего года «…пир – это лучший образ счастья» возвращает в тот удивленно-благодарный мир, который творила из «маленьких и чудесных вещей» Наталья Леонидовна Трауберг, наделенная редкой способностью превращать каждое событие и слово в пиршество разума и радости, а собеседников – в сотрапезников, делящих «вино премудрости» и «хлеб милости» с гостями, котами и друг с другом.
Всякая трапеза – будь то свадебное пиршество в Кане Галилейской, анакреотические пирушки или Веничкино «…и немедленно выпил» - всегда «больше изнутри, чем снаружи» (Г.К.Честертон). Она знаменует мир поверх всех человеческих разделений, собирает живых и ушедших, тем самым преодолевая «обреченность времени», прообразует мессианский пир «жизни будущего века», ту окончательную встречу, когда все друг друга узнают, и «ни о чем не надо умалчивать». Неслучайно, выводящая из прагматической обыденности к «тайной свободе», открывающая истинный смысл привычных реалий, трапеза избрана одним из самых важных событий и символов истории спасения. Как писал о. Александр Шмеман, «Божественная любовь стала едою», и Литургия – это пир, на котором соединяются благодарение и воспоминание, временное и вечное, небесное и земное, история входит в настоящее и возвещает нескончаемую трапезу грядущего Царства.
Многогранность понятия, равно как и осмысления его фольклорно-мифологическим сознанием, религиозной, философской и художественной культурой позволяет объединить в рамках симпозиума разнообразные богословские, философские, социологические, религиеведческие, исторические, искусствоведческие, историко-литературные, этнографические, а также междисциплинарные исследования. Предполагается, что разговор будет строиться вокруг следующих тем:
пир и праздник; трапеза как элемент праздничной обрядности в различных культурах;
пир как воспоминание и благодарение;
«пир Премудрости» и библейские образы трапезы;
семантика и обрядность пира в авраамических традициях;
«пиршественная природа» Литургии; мотивы пира в богослужебных текстах;
мотивы пира в святоотеческой литературе и богословии различных христианских традиций;
сакральные смыслы трапезы и формы их выражения в фольклорной и книжной культуре;
образы трапезы в художественной литературе, изобразительном искусстве и музыке

In the third issue of the journal "Poznan Slavic studies" researchers of the broadly defined humanities and social sciences are invited to speak in a debate over the magical power of words in languages, literatures and Slavic cultures.
Back in the early twentieth century understanding of language as a "course of action, not a tool of thought" is the foundation of the modern analysis of both past and current phenomena of linguistic, literary, cultural, social, socio-political and religious that are oriented first of all causally and dependently. The proposed topic exposes the conviction of the real causative power of words - both verbalised and remaining within the limits of the known to ethnologists and anthropologists " virtual silence "- which is considered binary, dependently and independently of human intentions. In this way the magic formulas are included into essential for their analysis contexts, where the manual ritual shall be called "silent spell" and the gesture becomes a "sign and speech."
A common ground designed above should be, according to the editors' intentions, the foundation of the scientific exploration centered around the following research problems based on the Slavic grounded sources:
1. Magical function of language (based on a conviction about the identity of a word with an assigned item, that treats this view as peripheral or rejecting its tenets);
2. Oral behavior of a magical character in view of the semiotic and intersemiotic analysis of the linguistic sign without abstracting from the findings and proposals of new classifications;
3. The use of words and gestures of magic in literary works, and therefore the question of incorporation of speech acts with the creative power and inseparable from them - actions into literary utterances;
4. The causative power of a word in the texts of oral literature registered in the period defined as the traditional (different for individual countries and nations);
5. The status and function of language and practice of magic in the process of "delaying in time" the breakdown of traditional folk culture of indigenous communities;
6. Magical formula - prayer relation in the optics of intentionality and causative power;
7. The place and role of speech defined as magic in contemporary popular discourses, languages of subcultures and languages of contemporary media (advertising, film, Internet).

Chcemy w nim publikować prace naukowe, inwentarze, katalogi i edycje poświęcone problematyce szeroko rozumianego dziedzictwa klasztornego, tzn. temu wszystkiemu, co klasztory (nie tylko chrześcijańskie) wniosły i wnoszą do kultury i cywilizacji, w Europie i na świecie. Chcielibyśmy się także przyczynić do opracowania i udostępnienia ogromnego dziedzictwa poklasztornego rozproszonego w wyniku różnych, głównie oświeceniowych, kasat.

Dear Sirs,
We are pleased to inform you about bringing into life a new interdisciplinary and international scientific magazine – Hereditas Monasteriorum. Its origins base on the idea of creating a field for publishing scientific research and the widely understood monastery and post-monastery heritage.
Columns of Hereditas Monasteriorum shall be open for any research, stock projects and source materials editions, devoted to the heritage of monastery life, of the history and present times. The scope of our interests include the whole rich material and intellectual attainment of monasteries and its history, as well as its role in the religious, spiritual, cultural, artistic, social, economic and many other aspects.
Due to the importance of the dissolutions for the state of preservation of post-monastery heritage, a particular space shall be devoted for publications devoted to their history (causes, course and created documentation) and stories of former monks, post monastery goods, buildings and property (including archive and library records).
We do not limit the chronological and territorial scope of published text as we are interested in the heritage of monastery life in general, also beyond the Christian culture.
In Hereditas Monasteriorum, we shall also publish texts in Polish (with comprehensive English summaries), as well as in congress languages.
We invite for publishing both humanists (e.g. historians, art historians, archaeologists, cultural researchers, library science workers, archive managers, sociologists, musicologists, museum scientists, philosophers, religion researchers and anthropologists.
We take care to publish not only dissertations, articles, reviews and a scientific chronicle in Hereditas Monasteriorum but also source materials editions, stock management studies, catalogues and inventory lists of post-monastery artefacts.
We plan to publish texts of higher volumes, exceeding traditionally set levels for magazines (monographs, catalogues, inventory lists, etc.) in the separate Hereditas Monasteriorum Supplementa series. This series shall also include materials from conferences devoted to the monastery heritage.
Hereditas Monasteriorum is planned to be published twice a year, in June and December, in a traditional form (in the limited impression for libraries) and a digital form (online). All obligatory rules required at entries for international indexes and lists of graded magazines (including external reviews of texts) shall be obeyed.
We plan to pay royalties.

2. Texts volume:
- dissertations and source compilation editions: up to 4 publisher's sheets;
- articles: up to 2 publisher's sheets;
(1 publisher's sheet contains 22 pages of normalized typescript, i.e. about 40 000 characters including spaces)
Texts of volume over the indicated level shall be published (at Authors' consent) in the Hereditas Monasteriorum Supplementa series.
3. Technical requirements:
- font: Times New Roman, indentation marked paragraphs; one should not use any additional formatting in the form of columns make up and manual words wrapping;
- illustrations (no limit of their number, considering that only black and white illustrations shall be published in the paper version): should include continuous numeration with Arabic numerals, name and legend and a source, e.g.

– located at the area where they should be located in the published version, additionally sent in separate, clearly described files (in format JPG, TIF or PNG and minimal resolution of 300 DPI); if illustrations are copyrights protected, one should include a written consent of their authors or a copyrights owner (with a readable signature) for their reproduction and online publishing;
- tables should be successively numbered with Roman numerals and described, e.g.

Tables should be located directly in the proper place in text.
Articles should be accompanied by a summary in Polish or English, of the volume of 1 page of normalized typescript (1800 characters including spaces).
All authors should include basic information about themselves, i.e. name and surname, workplace and email address.
4. In texts, one should:
- use generally accepted abbreviations (e.g., etc., cf., i.e., f.);
- use notations composed of Arabic numerals and dots for marking a numerically specified time period within a particular century (e.g. in 1. half of the XIII cent., in the 3. quarter of the XVII century, but in 1820s, at the end of 1980s).
- write names of months in dates using Roman numerals, when they are given with the day and year, separating particular elements of the date using spaces (e.g. 9 IV 1241, 15 VII 1410 r.), in other case, use description in words (e.g. the 9th April, in April 1241);
- at references to any names (of researchers, authors, historical persons), to give the name in the full form for the first time, and the name initial in next mentions;
- shorter quotes should be given in the text line using roman type in inverted commas; longer quotes should be included using a smaller roman type (10 points), without inverted commas, starting from a new line, using the full column length;
- use italic type for foreign words and phrase as well as names of literature, graphical and musical works;
- use traditional footnotes according to guidelines included in point 5 below.
5. Footnotes
Names of authors, editors, publishers (also of sources), translators should be given in footnotes at the first place (before the title), using small capitals for giving the name initial and full surname. In case of editors, publishers and translators, after the surname, one should give an abbreviation of their functions, according to the original language, in round brackets, e.g. (wyd.), (red.), (tłum.), (Hg.), (Bearb.), (ed.), (dir.), (vyd.). Titles of articles and books should be written with the italic type, titles of magazines with roman type in inverted commas, titles of publisher's series with roman type without inverted commas. After the title of a collected edition publication, one should write a coma and phrase [in:]. Number of volumes, almanacs, yearbooks and multivolume publications should be given using Arabic numerals, using commonly used original abbreviations: vol. (volume), Bd. (Band), r. (Pol. yearbook), z. (book), s.n. (new series).

Footnotes should, at the first time, include a full bibliographical description and at further instances, the name initial and full surname and the abbreviated titles, without dots, e.g. P. 6. Additional information
Published texts are subject to a review procedure.
A positive review is a necessary condition for qualifying a text for printout.
Editors reserves the right to introduce changes in texts (after previous consultations with the Author).
Texts that do not meet technical requirements of the Editors shall not be allowed to publication.
