Glimpse is an interdisciplinary journal that examines the functions,
processes, and effects of vision and its implications for being, knowing,
and constructing our world(s). Each theme-focused issue features articles,
visual spreads, interviews, and reviews spanning the physical sciences,
social sciences, arts and humanities.

The founders of Glimpse believe that there is a desire among academics and
the general public for an additional model of publishing and scholarly
communications that complements the traditional academic peer-review
model. We believe that in the age of electronic communications, we all can
benefit from interdisciplinary feedback (or "neighborly review"), more
rapid publishing cycles, and the active circulation of current scholarship
in the public realm .
